It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Partly cloudy with a nice breeze on the soft side; cooling the air off and keeping the bugs away. We are in a wonderful little campground that Terri and Kathy Bowen found and booked. On the edge of a smaller working farm, it appears to be old fields from the farm, flat with tree boundary lines. There are currently 4 rows of campsites, 3 pull through and 1 back-in, each about 20 - 25 spaces of full hookup and 50/30 amp service. There is a screened in covered pavilion on the backside of the office and a great playground just outside of the pavilion. The back-in row has a beautiful babbling brook on its other side. A very pretty little stream that splits around a few areas of small clumps of rock, soil and trees. The flat stones in the water are very close to the top creating the rapids, eddies and tiny whirlpools that dance in the water. The sound is soothing, a gentle rush of water that the best white noise machine can't reproduce. There is about a 2 - 3 foot drop from the campground to the brook which allows it to rise after a rain without spilling into the campground. Our first night here a storm came in that dumped quite a bit of rain quickly. Wind, thunder and lightening came and went as a few waves of thunderstorms blew past on their way to Montreal.

We are staying at Babbling Brook Campground in Ft Covington NY. It is vey close to the NY, Vermont and Canadian border junction. We met up with Tim (aka Shakey) and Kathy here and got in a couple of nights of wild Canasta games so far. It is so good to see them again as they have been part of our family for 40 years and we spent a wonderful time last winter down in southern Florida.. Tim is not feeling too good right now and I hope he is better soon so we can ride bikes and go look for frogs and stuff at the river. It is wonderful to be a kid again. For most days, the only responsibility I have is to walk the dogs periodically; as Terri takes care of everything else. So I get a chance to read, walk and explore cracks and crevasses in the rock piles looking for varmints with the killer chihuahuas, or to daydream and think about nonsense. It is wonderful.

I hope all of you have a wonderful day and week, and that your time with others is enjoyable!
